Lockout (LOTO) kit - Toolbox XL
This lockout kit has everything a mechanic needs, keeping everything easily within reach. The toolbox is a good size and easy to carry. There's also plenty of room at the bottom to hide other items or expand the lockout kit if needed.
When working on systems, the system must be made safe. In the Lockout, Tagout, and Tryout (LoToTo) process, we talk about "de-energizing," as we know several forms of energy besides electrical energy, such as pressure, steam, and kinetic energy.
It's important to first determine the type of energy that needs to be disconnected. This will then need to be locked out (Lock Out) and tagged (Tag Out). It's also important to check whether the energy is actually gone (Try Out), paying attention to any residual energy.
These components are part of the 'Lockout, Tagout, Try out' procedure.
