A LOTO padlock is the heart of every lockout tagout procedure. With a safety lock you secure a switch, valve or installation so that no one can accidentally re-energise it during maintenance. Our LOTO padlocks meet the requirements of NEN 3140 and the Arbowet (Dutch OSH legislation) and are shipped daily from stock to industrial customers in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The difference from an ordinary padlock

A safety lock for lockout tagout has three features an ordinary padlock does not: a non-conductive body (nylon or insulated metal) so it is safe for electrical work, unique keys per technician so only the person who applied the lock can remove it, and a striking colour so it is clearly visible that an installation is out of service.

Which LOTO lock suits your situation?

  • Nylon LOTO padlock 38mm — the standard. Lightweight, non-conductive, perfect for electrical switchgear cabinets and most industrial applications.
  • Nylon padlock 76mm — when a short shackle will not fit around a main switch or larger valve.
  • Metal LOTO padlock — for heavy industrial environments where physical robustness is a priority, with insulated shackle.
  • Various colours (red and yellow) — to distinguish between disciplines, shifts or technicians.
