Lockout Hasp — suitable for 6 padlocks

The lockout hasp (LOTO-hasp, also called lockout hasp ) is one of the most commonly used tools in every LOTO procedure.

The lockout hasp makes it possible for several people to lock out one isolation point at the same time. You clamp the steel jaw (the "scissor") around the isolation point or through the eye of another lockout, after which each technician inserts their own personal padlock through one of the holes.

As long as at least one padlock remains in the lockout hasp, the jaw cannot open and the isolation point stays locked out. Only once everyone has removed their own personal padlock can the last person release the installation and switch it back on after checking. This way, no one can switch on the installation while another colleague is still working.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many padlocks fit on this hasp?

Up to 6 padlocks can be applied at the same time. The openings are designed for the standard 6mm shackle diameter, which fits virtually all LOTO padlocks on the Dutch market — including our own nylon and metal padlocks.

Does the hasp fit all brands of padlocks?

Yes, all LOTO padlocks that meet the standard 6mm shackle diameter fit. If you use padlocks from another brand, check the shackle diameter (often 5-7mm) — anything at or within that range fits.

What if I have more than 6 technicians?

With more than 6 technicians, use two hasps in series: technician 1 places their padlock on hasp A, hasp A is then connected to hasp B via a padlock or shackle, where technicians 7-12 place their padlocks. For very large groups (15+), choose a lockbox system.
