Lockout Warning Tags 'Do Not Operate' — 10 Pieces

A lockout without a tag is only half done. These warning tags indicate that an installation is out of service and are a mandatory part of every complete LOTO procedure (NEN 3140 / OSHA 1910.147). Each pack contains 10 weatherproof tags with fastening tie — enough for several technicians or as stock for your LOTO wall station.

Once an installation has been de-energized, locked out and verified to be free of energy, a label or tag must be attached to indicate that the installation must not be switched on.

  • When working on installations, the installation must be made safe. In the Lockout, Tagout, Try Out (LOTOTO) procedure this is referred to as de-energizing — after all, besides electrical energy there are several forms of energy such as pressure, steam, kinetic energy, etc.
  • It is important to first identify the type of energy that needs to be shut off. This must then be locked out (Lock Out) and fitted with a label (Tag Out). Next, it must be verified that the energy is actually gone (Try Out), paying attention to residual energy.
  • The label is part of the Lockout, Tagout, Try Out procedure.

Specifications: 145 x 75mm | Sturdy hole at the top | Rounded corners | Fastening tie included.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Are the tags weatherproof?

Yes, the tags are made of high-quality plastic and remain legible in frost, rain, heat, oil and contact with most industrial chemicals. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They measure 145 x 75mm with rounded corners and a sturdy fastening hole at the top.

What do you write on a tag in practice?

At a minimum: your name, the date/time it was applied, and — where applicable — a brief reason or description of the work. Some companies also write the department and estimated end date on it. What matters is that colleagues can see at a glance who is responsible and cannot assume that the installation 'can be switched back on'.

Can I personalize tags with my company logo?

Yes, for orders from around 50 pieces we offer company-specific tags with logo, corporate colors or fixed fields. Request a quote and state in your message which customizations you would like.
