Collection: Circuit breakers

Circuit Breaker Lockout & MCB Lockout

When working on a low-voltage installation, the entire distribution board does not always need to be de-energised. With a lockout device for miniature circuit breakers (also known as MCB lockout) you lock out one specific breaker so colleagues can keep working elsewhere — without the risk of your circuit being accidentally switched back on.

How does an MCB lockout work?

The device clamps around the toggle of a miniature circuit breaker and blocks it in the OFF position. You then pass a LOTO padlock through it, optionally with a warning tag. The result: one breaker is fully physically locked out, while the rest of the installation remains available.

We stock two types:

  • Breaker-specific lockout — fits the most common circuit breakers (Schneider, ABB, Hager, Eaton). Secure fit, quick to apply.
  • Universal MCB lockout — works on virtually any breaker regardless of brand. Needs slightly more space around the switch, but covers all situations.

Who is it for?

Electricians and installation supervisors in particular use these every day. The device is a mandatory part of a NEN 3140-compliant working method for installation work and is used in industry, commercial buildings, data centres and by energy and grid operators.

Safety above all! Protect your employees and company assets with our high-quality Lock Out - Tag Out (LOTO) padlocks.

Product features:

  1. Durability: Our LOTO padlocks are manufactured from high-grade, hardened steel that withstands harsh conditions and wear. They are designed to last and to withstand the demands of industrial use.
  2. Security: Each padlock comes with a unique key, so that only authorised personnel have access to locked-out equipment. This minimises the risk of accidents and prevents unauthorised use.
