When to choose this yellow metal variant?
For situations where you need the robustness of metal and where the yellow colour has strategic value — for example, to distinguish within a shift structure or between disciplines. For the standard red variant, choose the red metal padlock; which we also offer in a nylon version: the yellow nylon padlock.
Frequently asked questions about this product
What is the difference from the yellow nylon padlock?
Metal is physically more robust and withstands harsh industrial conditions, impact/shock and outdoor use. Nylon is fully non-conductive (not just the shackle) and lighter. For switch cabinets and standard electrical work, nylon is sufficient; for heavy industry or mechanical installations, choose metal.
Is this lock also safe for electrical work?
Yes. The shackle — the part that comes into contact with the switch — is insulated, so there is no electrically conductive path between the installation and the lock body. It meets the requirements for electrical lockout according to NEN 3140.
Does this lock fit in a standard hasp?
Yes, the 6mm shackle diameter is identical to our other LOTO padlocks. Fits in all regular LOTO hasps and wall stations.
